LISTEN NOW! Greg, John and Pat discuss the importance and the necessity of meekness. As they continue to discuss Greg shares about a time when his wife was growing up and she was horseback riding with her cousin and she fell off her horse. He shares that she remembers this huge horse being so careful trying not to step on her. When you think of the size of a horse and you begin to think of its power and weight it is amazing that these animals allow us to ride on their backs. They not only allow us to ride on their backs but they also allow us to put a bit in their mouths and we are able to direct them in the direction of our choosing. The horse submits is strength to the rider. Jesus was meek and requires that we become meek as well. There is a big difference between weak and meek. We don’t lose our weakness but submit it to God. We immerse ourselves in the Word of God and like a rudder we use our tongue to shape our words. We must surrender ourselves to the Lord’s leading and directing and we do that when we abide in God’s word. You can change your life when you change your thoughts. Spend time with God and allow him to empower you.
