VFNRadio Second Hour June 10, 2014
What’s the POINT? Hear, Hear; Do, Do; Who Do; Hear, Do?It’s amazing how many people go through life not asking themselves, why am I doing what I’m doing? Greg and Pat discuss that there are three types of people and ask, which one do you want to be? The first is a person who is called a hear hearer, someone who goes through life hearing sermon after sermon and makes plans to hear the next. The second person is called a do doer, one who goes about doing and only concerned about what others are doing and not even concerned with how they are doing. The third are called Who do’s. People who think they are what they do and if they didn’t have any gifts or talents they wouldn’t know who they were. Jesus says in Matthew 7:21 many will come to me on that day and say Lord, Lord will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven but only those who do the will of my Father. The will say, did I not prophesy, heal the sick and feed the poor. Many will say, didn’t I do… Jesus will say I never knew you away from me you evil doers.
Greg shares with us that God is looking for hear doers, those who hear and do. James 2:18 says, I‘ll show you my faith by what I do. Greg goes on to say, if you are one of these three, I have good news for you. Your faith can be made complete by hearing God’s word hiding it in your heart and do what it says and you will be blessed in all you do?
Less people becoming farmers, Food now travels 1500 miles from Farm to Plate
Greg, John and Pat discuss how less people are becoming farmers. The Blaze reports an interview that Glenn Beck had with investor Jim Rogers in which they discuss how farming in on the decline around the world
The average age of a farmer in America is 58, Japan 66 and in Australia 58. Jim Roger who is an investor has been discouraging students from pursing an MBA and study agriculture instead as it is still a very profitable industry and predicts that over the next 10 to 20 years it will be one of the great professions. Right now it is being said that on average food travels 1500 miles from the farm to your plate. They continue to share a prophetic word from John Paul Jackson about digging up streets in large cities for gardening.
Christianity vs. Islam; Bible vs. Koran
In this direct comparison between Christianity and Islam Greg helps us see how the Bible and the Koran are direct opposites and how they are in direct conflict with each other. The Christian’s Bible says live at peace with your neighbors but the Islam book, the Koran says that the non-muslin must convert, be enslaved or be beheaded. That is a big difference. Where Christianity can live among the many world’s religions, Islam is a threat to anyone of any faith other than Islam. God’s people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. The Church needs to rise us, humble ourselves, turn from our wicked ways, pray again and learn the ways of God and walk in them before it’s too late for America. Does it hurt bad enough Yet?
Greg shares a story regarding two men and a dog named Cecil. As the story goes the two men are talking outside when they hear a dog howling. They continue to talk, but as they do, the howling persist and gets louder. Finally one of the men asked the other, “what is that?”. The man he was talking to says, “Oh, that’s just Cecil”. The other asks “What’s wrong with him?” His friend says, “He is sitting on the nail”. “Well, why doesn’t get up?” said the other man. The owner of the dog looks at the man and says “It just doesn’t hurt bad enough yet.” Many today are complaining about all the problems all around them while God is just shaking his head. The reason they don’t move and do something is because it doesn’t hurt bad enough yet. It’s time to stop complaining about the problems, God and America are waiting for you to get and do something.
