Are 535 People in Congress our Issue or does the Issue lie with us? God’s forgiveness awaits those who turn back to Him
Greg, Pat and John have a refreshing conversation about the realities of sin. With all the different events happening across the globe, it is easy to think that one’s problems lie in another, whether it’s a job, an economy, leadership, a relative or a spouse. Truth is, each of us will stand alone before Jesus Christ and have to answer personally for our own sin. To blame another is to surrender the authority that God gave us. When you look at the word B.L.A.M.E., But Look At My Excuse, you can see this reality.
When God directed the lives of Pharaoh, Moses and the Israelites, the ultimate intentions were to deliver His people from Egypt and show Himself mighty to the Israelites. From the plagues, to the exodus of Egypt and the parting of the Red Sea, the Israelites continually missed the truth of this vertical relationship with God. Instead of their eyes being upon God, the Israelites were focused on Pharaoh, the “better life” in Egypt, the leadership of Moses. It wasn’t about any of these horizontal relationships. It was about God and His people.
