Nabeel’s Testimony: He Sought Allah but Found Jesus
It is a powerful moment anytime you hear about someone’s story that led them to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Nabeel Qureshi’s testimony is provoking, to say the least. Raised as a devout Muslim, he prayed 5 times a day, memorized the Quran in both Arabic and English, and sought to prove Islam as the true faith. Any time Nabeel encountered Christians, his questions about the beliefs of Christianity were only met with the answer of “faith”. When he encountered a believer who guided him through the Bible, answering his questions, and also revealing the flaws of Nabeel’s thoughts, he was truly challenged.
Nabeel’s journey took a massive change of direction when he began to ask this one critical question, “God who are you?” It was then that God responded with his request for a dream, with three dreams. Confronted with the reality that all of his beliefs had been shaken, Nabeel was simply broken. In his own words, “It was a rude awakening that there isn’t a single verse in the Quran designed to comfort a hurting man. Not one.” It was here that Nabeel’s life was forever changed when he found the very verse he was looking for, in the Bible.
It is vital for us not to look at the world based on the narratives that the world projects, but on how God sees the world. Regardless of the evil atrocities that are being carried out, God desires for each and every man, woman, and child to know Him. That is why He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for each of our sins. As the Church, we must be able to share the truth about who Jesus Christ is, by demonstrating His love and making Him known to all of the world, by the lives that we live, each and every day. Watch the full story and be greatly encouraged in your search for Christ, your walk with Christ, and your efforts to witness to those around you, and so much more. Turkey’s President gives Hitler’s Germany as an example of Effective Government?
Amidst the continual shakings and divisions happening in the Middle East, one of the most shocking statements was made by Turkey’s President, Erdogan.
There is no such thing as ‘no presidential system in unitary states.’ There are examples of this around the world. There are examples in the past, too. When you look at Hitler’s Germany, you can see it there.”
A statement of this magnitude cannot be ignored. John and Steve shared in this segment.
WATCH! Israel Must Have Defensible Borders
There must be a critical understanding for Israel to have defensible borders. Some may not know the full scenario of what is taking place upon the borders of Israel, or even where their borders lie. All of that can be changed as a result of understanding the short video recently released by The Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs. By understanding the borders of Israel, the geographical makeup of the land, as well as the parties causing the rising tensions upon these borders, one can quickly gather the growing threat to Israel in today’s crises.
Israel is at the center of the turmoil in the Middle East. Israel may be small, but the God of Israel is much larger than the enemies of Israel. Seeing the unfolding of events in the Middle East brings to mind just two of the Prophetic Headlines that John Paul Jackson shared about the days that we are living in today. “Israel says if Missiles hit Jerusalem, Mecca will be hit within minutes”, and “What other Secret Weapons Does Israel Have? – Has Israel Played all its Cards?” Don’t count Israel out. Not only watch Israel, but pray for Israel. Watch and see the astounding video regarding Israel, and so much more. The Economy, Oil Prices, and the Middle East
The year of 2016 is starting off with significant events, to say the least. According to CNN, the Stock Market has just completed a difficult year, “U.S. markets finished 2015 mostly in the red: The Dow was down 2.2%. The S&P 500 ended the year down 0.7%. It was the worst year for those two indexes since markets collapsed in 2008.”Another factor adding to the economic woes is the Federal Reserve’s increase in interest rates. Economic hardships are not only being experienced in the West, but also in the Middle East as well.
Contrary to having the largest stockpile of oil reserves, Saudi Arabia has just increased its cost of gas by 50%. In a more intimate understanding of Saudi Arabia’s economic situation, CNN shares “about 75% of the Saudi government’s budget comes from oil.” In addition to the increase of gas prices comes the loss of many perks handed out by the government. CNN reveals quite a staggering list; “Heavily subsidized gas, Free health care, Free schooling, Subsidized water and electricity, No income tax, Public pensions…”
Economies are shaking and tensions are rising throughout the world. Be encouraged as you are reminded that regardless of the shakings in the world, the Kingdom of God does not move, and so much more.
