Do we really know how much information Google has on us or even social media? Online privacy seems to be a thing of the past and the former CEO of Google, Eric Schmidt, even compared what Google does as creepy. “The Google policy on a lot of things is to get right up to the creepy line and not cross it.” Google is the number one search engine in the world! This system is always learning and always gaining more information from people all over the world. Dr. Robert Epstein says that “Google crosses the creepy line every day.”
Now a movie named The Creepy Line is being shown, and the website shares information about the movie and what is revealed in it.
“An eye-opening documentary, The Creepy Line reveals the stunning degree to which society is manipulated by Google and Facebook and blows the lid off the remarkably subtle – hence powerful – manner in which they do it. The Creepy Line is a title culled from the words of former Google CEO Eric Schmidt when during a 2010 interview he explained Google’s code of conduct: “The Google policy on a lot of things is to get right up to the creepy line and not cross it.”
“However, as Dr. Robert Epstein explains in the film, “Google crosses the creepy line every day.” Containing ground-breaking interviews with Jordan B. Peterson, Peter Schweizer, and others, The Creepy Line offers an explosive look at the meddling and intervening done by Google and Facebook on their supposedly “neutral platforms.” The Creepy Line takes the conversation about data privacy and controls further than ever before by examining what Google and Facebook do once they control a user’s data. Not only is this data sold to the highest bidder, but it is used to mold, massage, and manipulate the public consciousness while influencing opinion on a vast scale – all with the goal of transforming society to fit their worldview.
“Offering first-hand accounts, scientific experiments, and detailed analysis, The Creepy Line examines what is at risk when these two tech titans have free reign to utilize the public’s most private and personal data to manipulate society. There is no question that the “creepy line” is getting ever-creepier, and that the tech giants have crossed it.”
How Google started may have been innocent in the fact that they wanted to help people, but now it has crossed the creepy line, but at the same time, many people are freely giving their information to this company and other companies as well.
In America, we have the United States Constitution that sets the standards for our nation and the first ten amendments in the Constitution is the Bill of Rights. The Fourth Amendment protects Americans and our private information. “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”
Now our papers are mostly digital, but that does not exclude it from this amendment because it is still our paperwork! Now there is a secret court in America called the FISA court and someone or a company secretly presents information to six judges, and it is all done in secret. But many companies aren’t even going that far. When you sign up for a product, you must click to agree with the company’s disclaimers, and they know that most people don’t read it and the companies know that.
We have a limited amount of time to reach out to the lost while we have the freedom to tell them about Jesus! In China there is a system that will be mandatory in 2020 called Sesame Credit and the citizens will or will not be able to buy or sell based on where their Sesame Credit score is. It sounds much like the mark of the beast spoken of in Revelation. “It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.”
It is important how technology is used, and it can be used for good which is how we use it at VFNKB. If you have a fear of death, then you don’t know God. Many people are afraid to die, but you can change that when you make Jesus the Lord of your life! Technology is crossing the creepy line because people are trying to find the answer to live longer and how to live without God. Just because you are getting knowledge online does not mean that you have wisdom. We gain wisdom through Jesus! You can read our stories at Meet My Father and make the decision today to make Jesus your Lord and Savior.
